The CCNZNP is a level 7, 40 credit, six-week full time competency assessment programme. It has two options: On-campus and blended /online. The on-campus option is run at the EIT campus in Tarradale and is available to NZRN's and International RN's. The online course is only available at this stage to New Zealand RN's. Both provide a programme that enables this group of nurses the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to meet the Nursing Council's competencies within their scope of practice in order to either gain or regain their New Zealand nursing registration. Both options require the RN to attend four weeks full-time clinical placements which may involve shift work.
