This is a detailed look at assessment both subjective and objective and treatment planning for best practise massage therapy.
This covers massage for physical performance - elite athletes to social and disabled athletes. It looks at assessment, treatment and rehabilitation principles as well as an understanding of the biomechanical, psychological and physiological occurances with exercise and injury.

Central to this course is the introduction to the basic techniques of somatic education, trigger-point therapy and neuromuscular therapy. Understanding the structure and function of human movement and the relationship with development, education and the environment will be taught.

This course is designed to enable students to refine skills in clinical reasoning and develop skills and techniques in the application of massage therapy to special populations such as pregnant women, office workers, children and adolescents, persons with a physical or intellectual disability and those who are terminally ill. Introductory lymphatic drainage will be taught.
